First of many informational post to come.
Over this weekend, exceptionally long due to Thanksgiving, I have spent a lot of time researching various types of tools that someone interested in surviving in the long term, not a mere month, but over 6 months and up to years, there are a few things that must be considered.
Most important considerations:
Power Availability: Will some sort of power be available for use?
Power Sources: Electric Company, Community Solar/Wind CO-OP, Personal Solar/Wind, Personal Other
Number of People Supported
Nutritional Requirements for each person supported
Storage types, power needs and locations
